1. About SR7 Transport
SR7 Transport ("we", "us", "our") provides transport, courier, haulage and delivery services based in Seaham, County Durham, UK. By using our services or submitting a quote request, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotes and Estimates
Quote calculator estimates are guide prices only and are not legally binding. All final prices are confirmed in writing before any booking is accepted. Final quotes may vary from guide estimates depending on access conditions, load weight, waiting time, load size and exact route.
3. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when SR7 Transport provides written or verbal confirmation of the job, price, collection date and delivery address. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- You must ensure goods are ready for collection at the agreed time.
- You must ensure safe access to the collection and delivery addresses.
- You must declare the correct nature, weight and dimensions of all items at the time of booking.
- You must not present prohibited goods for transport (see Section 9).
- You are responsible for ensuring adequate parking or unloading facilities at both addresses.
5. Access and Loading
Any waiting time caused by access issues, unpreparedness or loading difficulties beyond 30 minutes may incur additional charges. Stairs, narrow access, gated entrances and restricted loading areas must be declared at the time of booking.
6. Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the agreed collection time will not incur a charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours of collection may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed job price. Same day cancellations after the driver has departed for collection will be charged in full.
7. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing. For regular business customers, invoice payment terms of 14 days apply unless a separate arrangement is agreed. We accept bank transfer, cash and card payment as agreed at the time of booking.
8. Insurance and Liability
SR7 Transport carries goods in transit insurance as standard. Our liability is limited to the value covered under our policy. We are not liable for damage resulting from inadequate packaging by the customer, inherent fragility of items not declared, or acts outside our reasonable control.
Customers are advised to arrange additional insurance for high-value items and to declare the full nature of the load at the time of booking.
9. Prohibited Goods
SR7 Transport will not carry the following:
- Illegal or controlled substances
- Weapons, firearms or ammunition
- Hazardous, flammable or explosive materials
- Live animals
- Cash, documents of title or financial instruments
- Any item prohibited by UK law
Presentation of prohibited goods for transport may result in immediate termination of the job and loss of any payment made.
10. Delays
SR7 Transport will make every reasonable effort to meet agreed delivery times. We are not liable for delays caused by road conditions, traffic, accidents, weather, acts of third parties or any circumstances outside our control.
11. Damage Reporting
Any damage or loss must be reported to SR7 Transport within 24 hours of delivery. Claims submitted after this period may not be considered. All damage claims are subject to our insurance terms and conditions.
12. Force Majeure
SR7 Transport shall not be in breach of these terms if unable to fulfil obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, pandemic, government restrictions, fuel shortages or industrial action.
13. Complaints
All complaints should be directed to info@sr7transport.co.uk in the first instance. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and respond fully within 7 working days.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
